Elektron Digitakt II B-Stock – 16-Track Stereo Drum Computer and Sampler

The Digitakt II is Elektron's direct successor to one of the most widely adopted hardware samplers in recent years, rebuilt on a new hardware platform. Compared to the MK1, the audio track count doubles from 8 to 16, every track now handles stereo samples, the sequencer expands to 128 steps per track, and each audio track gains three LFOs, swappable SRC and FLTR machines, and Euclidean sequencing. Overbridge integration and USB class-compliant audio are retained, keeping the Digitakt II fully connected to DAW-based workflows. B-Stock units are fully operational instruments with minor cosmetic imperfections and are covered by the standard manufacturer warranty.

16 Stereo Tracks, Swappable Machines, and Modular Signal Path

All 16 tracks on the Digitakt II can operate as audio or MIDI tracks in any combination – no fixed split between drum and synth roles. Audio tracks carry five swappable SRC machines (Oneshot, Werp, Stretch, Repitch, Grid) and five FLTR machines (Multi-Mode, Lowpass 4, Equaliser, Comb, Legacy LP/HP), allowing the character of each track's signal path to be changed per step via parameter locking without resetting the sound. Three LFOs per audio track – more than Elektron's own Analog Rytm and Analog Four – can be synced, one-shot triggered, or run freely; LFO3 can modulate either of the other two LFOs, building complex modulation routing without external hardware. The master compressor includes a per-track bypass option, enabling a classic side-chain setup where a kick triggers compression on the mix while passing through unaffected itself.

128-Step Sequencer, Euclidean Patterns, and Performance Modes

The sequencer runs up to 128 steps per track with independent track lengths, generating natural polyrhythm without manual programming. Euclidean sequencing distributes triggers evenly across a set step length, producing generative rhythmic patterns with minimal setup. Parameter locking automates any sound parameter per step, including the SRC and FLTR machine selections. Song Mode is available from the start, chaining patterns into structured compositions. Keyboard Mode turns the trig buttons into a chromatic instrument across 10 octaves with 36 available scales. Kit Perform Mode prevents patterns from loading their own parameter states on launch – only the sequence changes, the sound stays locked, keeping transitions smooth during live performance.
