Arturia KeyLab Essential 61 mk3 Rose is a 61-key synth-action MIDI controller with velocity-sensitive keys, 9 encoders, 9 faders, 8 RGB pads, and a 2.5" LCD display. The Rose Quartz colour variant – functionally identical to the white and black versions, distinguished by its rose-beige housing finish. Bundled software includes Analog Lab V (2,000 presets), Ableton Live Lite, UVI Grand Piano Model D, NI The Gentleman upright piano, plus 2 months of Loopcloud and Melodics subscriptions.
DAW Control and Analog Lab Integration
KeyLab Essential mk3 ships with dedicated custom scripts for Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FL Studio, and Cubase, and supports MCU and HUI protocols – transport, mixing, and project navigation work immediately after plugging in, with no manual mapping needed. The 2.5" LCD display and contextual buttons deliver real-time visual feedback on project state and preset information. Nine full-rotation encoders and nine 30 mm faders handle instrument parameters and mixer control. The controller works with any DAW over standard MIDI and USB-C, and advanced configuration is handled by the free MIDI Control Center app. In Arturia mode the keyboard maps directly to Analog Lab V, giving full access to 2,000 presets without touching the mouse.
Creative Tools and Pads
Scale Mode locks the keyboard to a chosen scale, ensuring every played note lands in key automatically. Chord Play assigns a full chord to a single key – from built-in presets or custom shapes. The Arpeggiator with Hold creates rhythmic patterns from sustained notes and chords. The 8 RGB pads with velocity and pressure sensitivity work as a drum surface, clip launcher, or MIDI CC controller across 4 configurable banks. Bus-powered via USB-C – no external power supply needed.
