PSI Audio presents its new flagship model – the A226-MAIN. This is the largest monitor ever developed by the Swiss manufacturer, designed to meet the highest demands of mastering and main monitoring in high-end studios.
Power and precision – A226-MAIN
The A226-MAIN is a three-way system featuring two 10-inch woofers, a midrange EXD driver, and a brand-new tweeter with an aluminum voice coil. It delivers a frequency response of 20 Hz to 23 kHz (-6 dB) with 112 dB SPL at 1 meter (AES 75 standard) and up to 126 dB peak. All components are housed in a reinforced dual-layer MDF cabinet with a dual flow-guide bass reflex system.
New tweeter, proven EXD, and symmetrical woofers
The new tweeter has been specifically developed for the A226-MAIN, offering stunning high-frequency resolution. The EXD midrange driver, known from the A25-M model, handles the mids, while two 10" woofers in a symmetrical layout share the same signal path. The dual-channel bass reflex system ensures deep, powerful bass without air turbulence or noise.
Symmetry, rotation, adaptability
The transducer layout is fully symmetrical – woofers placed on either side of the rotatable mid-high section. This configuration, along with precision waveguides, creates a wide sweet spot while limiting vertical dispersion. A dedicated stand is also available for optimal positioning and orientation.
