sE Electronics X1 A is a large-diaphragm condenser microphone designed as a versatile and affordable solution for professional and home recording. The X1 A features a custom-developed 1″ true condenser capsule with an optimized acoustic design, providing balanced frequency response and smooth off-axis behaviour. Its internal electronics offer a dynamic range of up to 130 dB and an extremely low self-noise of only 16 dB(A). Two onboard switches — a -20 dB attenuation pad and an 80 Hz low-cut filter — make it easy to record loud sources or reduce low-frequency rumble without distortion.

The microphone’s body is built from durable all-metal housing with integrated steel mesh, offering effective protection against handling noise and electromagnetic interference. The X1 A connects via a standard 3-pin XLR and operates on 48 V phantom power. Compact, reliable, and precise, it’s an excellent entry point into the sE condenser series for creators, musicians, and engineers who value clarity and accuracy.
