The core problem it addresses is RF and WiFi interference entering the high-voltage path in conventional tube mic PSU designs and degrading tube and capsule performance. Wunder's solution is a high-voltage path that runs constant current, balanced against a shunt regulator — the result is a completely clean DC voltage delivered to the microphone with no RF or WiFi interference reaching the signal chain.

Proprietary High-Voltage Path and Voltage Regulation

The constant-current high-voltage architecture with shunt regulation eliminates AC ripple and RF interference at a level unavailable in standard transformer-based PSU designs. Internal voltage trimming is handled by 30-turn precision potentiometers — most PSU designs lack voltage adjustment entirely, and those that include it typically use single-turn pots prone to drift over time. The dual-pole neutral-fusing design accepts any mains voltage worldwide without requiring jumper changes or manual voltage selection. The pattern switch version uses a military-spec Grayhill switch for the most reliable directional pattern control — the same Grayhill specification Wunder Audio uses in its console switching. Available configurations include a standard version, a version with pattern switch, and an optional stereo version. On special order, the PSU can be configured to run with most tube condenser microphones regardless of manufacturer.
