Vermona Filter Lancet is a desktop analog effects unit that Vermona calls its Swiss army knife for tweaking single tracks, voices and full mixes. It combines a multimode filter with an overdrive circuit and a discrete VCA, so the same box can produce filter sweeps, wah and tremolo effects.
Filter modes and modulation
The filter works as a 24 dB per octave low-pass or high-pass, or as a 12 dB per octave band-pass. It can be modulated by an envelope generator, an envelope follower that reacts to the incoming signal, an external CV or the LFO. The envelope has AD and ASR modes with attack from 1 ms to 10 s and decay or release from 1 ms to 15 s. The LFO runs from 0.05 Hz to 300 Hz with six waveforms, including ramp, square, triangle, sine and sample-and-hold, which makes it possible to sync effects to a track.
Inputs for triggering
An audio trigger input, a gate input and an external CV input (±10 V) let you start the envelope from a drum track, a sequencer or a modular system.
