SSQ JSJM2 — a two-metre 6.3mm stereo jack to 2x 6.3mm mono jack audio cable from the Polish brand SSQ (Sound Station Quality), splitting one stereo output into two independent mono channels - typically a mixer's, audio interface's, or recorder's stereo output feeding two monitor speakers or active speakers. The cable is 6mm thick with double insulation, and the conductor is copper at a 2 x 0.23mm² cross-section. Shielding braid covers at least 90% of the cable, and the plugs are hand-soldered with lead-free tin and silver. The connectors carry strain relief against the cable being pulled out, and the cable is backed by the manufacturer's lifetime warranty.
One cable instead of an extra splitter
Routing a stereo signal to two separate monitor speakers or active speakers usually calls for either two separate mono cables with a Y-splitter or a dedicated splitter box. JSJM2 solves this with a single cable - one end terminates in a stereo jack matching a mixer's, interface's, or recorder's output, the other splits into two mono jacks feeding straight into two independent destinations. It's worth remembering that the source device needs a genuine stereo jack output, otherwise the channel split won't behave as expected.
Thick cable and strong shielding for stage use
Splitter cables often work in tougher conditions than simple point-to-point connections - a longer run, more bends when routing to two different spots on stage or in a monitor rack. The cable's 6mm thickness with double insulation reduces the risk of mechanical damage from being stepped on or crushed, and a shielding braid at a minimum 90% coverage - well above the typical 30% found in cheaper cables - effectively suppresses electromagnetic interference along the whole signal run.
