SSL UMD192
Optionen wählen
The Solid State Logic UMD192 is a formidable, half-rack digital audio interface and format converter engineered for high-pressure live sound, broadcast, and advanced post-production environments. Acting as an incredibly flexible routing hub, it seamlessly integrates MADI, Dante, and USB 3.0 protocols. The unit allows for simultaneous recording, playback, and bidirectional conversion of up to 192 channels of pristine audio, making it a central distribution point for modern AoIP networks and large-scale studio installations.
Effortless format bridging and mission-critical redundancy
Managing massive channel counts from disparate sources often requires racks of expensive standalone converters. The UMD192 solves this hardware bottleneck by enabling bidirectional audio transfer between any two connected formats (e.g., MADI to Dante), while the third format can independently receive a split signal. This architecture drastically simplifies linking multi-channel consoles into existing Dante networks, allowing the USB port to feed a 192-channel backup recording rig simultaneously. For broadcast trucks and live festivals where signal failure is catastrophic, the six pairs of MADI BNC connectors can be configured to provide three dual-redundant MADI connections. The unit further guarantees operational safety by supporting power redundancy through simultaneous AC, PoE, and USB power delivery.
Ultra-low latency in demanding AoIP workflows
Network latency is the primary enemy of live sound mixing and broadcast distribution. The network side of the UMD192 provides fully interoperable Dante AoIP technology with native support for AES67 and SMPTE ST 2110, achieving ultra-low Dante latency down to just 0.25 milliseconds. Flexible clocking allows the system to slave to or master the Dante network or incoming MADI streams seamlessly. A clear, intuitive front panel with a hardware lockout feature prevents accidental parameter changes during high-stakes sessions, while providing immediate visual feedback for signal flow, sample rate synchronization, and active power states.
