Many active Solton systems with onboard DSP, such as the Twin-Array series or the aart T LINE, provide a USB port for remote control of amplifier and processing parameters from a computer. This cable connects the amplifier panel's USB port to a computer's USB port, enabling communication with the control software without needing to adjust settings directly on the unit.
Remote DSP adjustment without physical access to the amplifier
A common problem with systems flown high or placed somewhere hard to reach: physically adjusting DSP presets on the amplifier panel means climbing a ladder or taking the cabinet down from its rigging. The USB cable lets you connect the gear to a laptop and manage EQ, limiter, and preset settings from software, without needing physical access to the control panel on the speaker or subwoofer enclosure.
A simple but reliable part of the system configuration chain
When working with multiple DSP units at an event, it's easy to run into low-quality USB cables that cause transmission errors or disconnects while editing settings. This cable is a dedicated accessory matched to the USB port used on Solton equipment, reducing compatibility issues when connecting gear to a technician's laptop during show setup.
