Solton TWIN ARRAY PLUS

Solton Twin Array Plus is an active PA package combining two aart T 28 A tops with two aart SUB 15 A subwoofers. The distinguishing feature of the top cabinet is a D'Appolito configuration — two 8" aaCRAAFT drivers arranged symmetrically above and below the HF compression driver — which, in a slim 250 x 700 x 250 mm enclosure weighing just 14.6 kg, produces controlled vertical dispersion and coherent off-axis response characteristic of proper line source topology.

aart T 28 A — D'Appolito twin-8" top, 14.6 kg

Two 8" aaCRAAFT drivers on 2" voice coils flank a 1" exit HF compression driver on a 1.75" voice coil in a classic D'Appolito arrangement. Symmetrical driver placement minimises vertical lobing at the crossover transition and keeps the on-axis phase response consistent across the listening zone — which matters for speech intelligibility and stereo imaging in large, reverberant rooms. The dual-channel Class D bi-amp with integrated DSP provides four factory presets covering fullrange, MF/HF, stage monitor and install configurations without cable changes. The 90° x 60° constant-directivity horn rotates by hand, and seven M8 inserts support flying with the TU Frame bracket, pole-mount, U-bracket or floor-monitor use. Mic/Line input with high-resolution preamp and switchable Mix OUT handle zone extension from the cabinet's own back panel. The multi-angle birch plywood enclosure is finished in black polyurethane coating.

aart SUB 15 A — compact 15" mobile subwoofer

The aart SUB 15 A uses a 15" long-excursion driver on a 4" (100 mm) voice coil in a bass-reflex enclosure driven by 800 W continuous and 3200 W peak Class D power. The variable crossover from 80 to 200 Hz combined with a phase switch gives precise integration control with the T 28 A, which rolls off naturally below 60 Hz (-10 dB) — a crossover point around 100–120 Hz typically works best. Two XLR/Jack Combo inputs and two XLR link outputs support stereo sub pairing or daisy-chaining to additional zones. The M20 pole socket accepts the T 28 A satellite directly on top. At 31 kg and 460 x 590 x 580 mm the complete system fits in a standard car, making single-vehicle transport for two-side stereo setups practical.
