Solton Karat K8 is a high-power two-way passive line-source cabinet built around the FUSION concept, packing four complete line array elements into a single compact enclosure made of 15 mm birch plywood. Eight neodymium 6.5-inch drivers and six low-distortion 1-inch exit compression drivers, coupled to line-forming waveguides, deliver strong output while keeping the clarity typical of a well-designed line array. The cabinet handles 2000 W continuous and up to 8000 W peak, reaching a maximum peak SPL of 141 dB.
Line Array Clarity in a Point-Source Format
A 100° H x 20° V coverage pattern gives very stable dispersion both horizontally and vertically, producing an acoustic result close to a full multi-module line array without needing to rig and align several separate cabinets. An advanced passive crossover with PTC protection keeps all drivers working in sync, delivering consistent tonal balance across the band and strong resistance to overload at full power.
Plug and Play Instead of Complex Rigging
The plug-and-play concept lets the Karat K8 be ground-stacked or flown using the dedicated TU Frame K Single or TU Frame K Double, without the extensive rigging crew a classic line array setup would demand. A 32.5 kg weight makes the cabinet relatively easy to handle given its power output, and its versatility as a main PA, delay line, center fill, side fill, or fixed installation means one cabinet covers multiple scenarios without swapping hardware. Paired with an A 218 Sub, it builds a complete, tour-ready system.
