Solton aart SUB 18 A is an active 18" subwoofer with a built-in Class D amplifier delivering 800 W continuous and 2400 W peak. Designed as a high-output mobile subwoofer for situations where a 15" cabinet runs out of SPL headroom — the aart SUB 18 A extends to 33 Hz (-10 dB) and reaches 128 dB continuous / 134 dB peak at 1 m, making it the right choice for events of 300 to 800 people in indoor venues and outdoor settings.
18" driver with 4" voice coil and onboard crossover
The 18" long-excursion driver on a 4" (100 mm) voice coil works in a bass-reflex enclosure made of 15 mm birch plywood with a low-distortion port, which limits dynamic compression at high SPL levels. The variable low-pass crossover from 80 to 200 Hz and a phase switch allow matching the crossover point and correcting group delay between the sub and any satellite without an outboard processor — a potentiometer and switch on the rear panel handle both. Two XLR/6.35 Jack Combo inputs and two XLR Thru outputs support stereo signal feed and daisy-chaining to additional subs or amplifier zones. The M20 pole socket on top accepts a satellite cabinet directly (recommended: aart T 10 A, T 12 A, T 15 A+, T 28 A). Two side handles are integrated, and the enclosure is pre-drilled for the optional 75 mm wheel set (art. 12520, 2 with brake, 2 without).
Mobile bass platform for the full aart T LINE family
The aart SUB 18 A is the officially recommended subwoofer partner for the entire aart T LINE range — from the T 10 A and T 12 A through the T 28 A up to the 15" T 15 A+. Every one of those top cabinets runs its own amplifier and DSP, so a top-plus-SUB 18 A pair forms a complete self-powered PA system with no additional gear. At 43 kg the sub demands planning for transport, but the optional wheel set converts it to a rolling cabinet; a matching cover for the wheeled version is available as art. 12632.
