Shure MV7+-K

Shure MV7+-K – hybrid dynamic microphone with XLR and USB-C outputs, built around a capsule derived from the SM7B, in black finish. The mic pairs a directional cardioid pattern with Voice Isolation Technology, cutting sound picked up from the sides and rear of the capsule. Signal can be pulled simultaneously from the XLR output, unaffected by any digital processing, and from the USB-C port, where a 16- or 24-bit converter at 44.1 or 48 kHz feeds the full set of DSP tools available in the MOTIV Mix app. The all-metal build, with an adjustable yoke on a standard 5/8"-27 thread, is built for daily use in a recording studio or on a streaming desk.

Two outputs, one safety recording

Running XLR and USB-C at the same time lets you capture a raw analog signal on an interface or mixer straight into your DAW, while the parallel USB path feeds the MOTIV Mix app with EQ, compression, and noise reduction applied. In practice that gives you an unprocessed backup copy in case the digital effects chain gets misconfigured, which matters when recording live interviews or podcast episodes with no chance for a retake. The extended windscreen tames plosives during close mic work without needing a separate pop filter.

Consistent level without an engineer in the room

Auto Level Mode reads the speaker's distance from the capsule and continuously adjusts gain and compression, cutting down on manual level-riding during solo recordings or guest interviews with varying vocal volume. The built-in real-time denoiser and an adjustable 0-36 dB gain range let you match the signal to an untreated room, and the LED touch panel doubles as a level meter and a quick mute control while recording.
