sE Electronics VR2 – active ribbon microphone with extended bandwidth, designed by Siwei Zou. Achieves full 20 Hz–18 kHz range via diffusor mechanics, custom transformer, and active circuitry. High sensitivity (10 mV/Pa), SPL up to 135 dB, figure-8 pattern. Ideal for vocals, guitars, acoustic instruments, drums. Low noise, aluminum body with side mesh for better rejection.
The device excels in clarity, warmth, and detail, without typical ribbon HF roll-off, with 14 dB higher output than passive models.
