sE Electronics V7 MC1 Black with MP03 Pouch is a replacement capsule for handheld wireless transmitters, bringing the DMC7 capsule from the wired V7 into a radio system. This is the black version, supplied with the MP03 protective pouch and thread cover.
The same voice at rehearsal and at the show
The usual scenario: the singer rehearses on a wired microphone, then gets a handheld transmitter with a stock capsule of a completely different character at the gig — and every EQ move in the channel stops fitting. The V7 MC1 screws on in place of the transmitter's original capsule and carries the V7 voicing into the wireless system, so the channel settings still hold. It fits all Shure handheld transmitters except the BLX and GLX-D series, and is also compatible with Audio-Technica 3000 series systems.
Handling noise a gate will not remove
In a handheld transmitter the capsule sits directly above the radio electronics and the singer's whole hand — hence the low rumble on every grip change, which neither a gate nor a high-pass filter removes without taking the body out of the voice. The V7 MC1 carries a patented integrated shock mount that decouples the capsule mechanically. The supercardioid pattern adds gain before feedback on top of that, for the moments the vocalist walks out in front of the PA.
