The eight-inch driver reaches 45 Hz within 2 dB and 38 Hz at minus 6 dB, so bass parts, kick drums and low synth lines are judged directly instead of being inferred from upper harmonics. That removes the classic failure of mixing on small monitors: bass compression and kick tuning decided on a band the speakers never reproduce. The 1.4 kHz crossover at 24 dB per octave keeps the midrange clean and makes vocal and guitar problems easy to place in the mix.
Matching the room without a digital correction stage
Each cabinet offers four-position low-frequency EQ plus a high-frequency switch with flat and plus or minus 1 dB above 2.5 kHz. Placed near a wall or in a room with a strong bass build-up, that lets you flatten the response without inserting a processor into the signal path. The input is an electronically balanced XLR and 1/4 inch combo socket with 10 kilohm impedance and RF filtering, so the monitor tolerates long cable runs in a densely populated studio.
