Managing amplifier channel count and cabling complexity is a persistent challenge in SUB/SAT installations. The AD-C.SUB addresses this directly with four built-in high-pass filtered outputs, each capable of driving an AcousticDesign satellite loudspeaker — no additional DSP unit, no extra amplifier channel required. The high-pass filtering happens inside the subwoofer itself, reducing rack space and commissioning time on every install.
The four-point double-stepped long-travel dog-ear blind mounting system accommodates ceiling thicknesses from 0 to 51 mm without requiring above-ceiling access. The powder-coated steel magnetic grille features a blemish-free removable logo — a practical detail for venues with strict branding restrictions.
Tonal Consistency Across Mixed Installations and Q-SYS Integration
The entire AcousticDesign family — ceiling, surface, and pendant — shares a common tonal character, eliminating the coloration shift that typically occurs when moving between speaker types across zones. The 100W low-loss, low-saturation transformer with selectable taps (rotary selector under the grille) maintains accurate frequency response in both 70V and 100V applications. Intrinsic Correction™ voicings, deployable via the Q-SYS Platform and MP-M Series mixers, deliver pre-optimized EQ correction as a ready-to-use preset — no manual tuning required.
