Sequencing runs on a column-based grid rather than a piano roll: each row cell holds a note, an instrument, and up to two effects, with patterns running up to 128 steps. It's a different logic from DAW sequencing — more granular at the single-step level, faster for programming drums and basslines, and readable within a few hours of use. Samples load into one of 48 instrument slots and can come from the line input, mic input, an SD card, or the built-in FM tuner, which on its own is a decent source of unconventional texture.
