PMC 10 XBD is a high-performance mid-field monitoring system, serving as the expanded XBD version of the PMC10 model. In this configuration, the system features two 10-inch (250mm) Radial™ drivers per channel, significantly increasing the scale of sound and dynamic headroom in the low frequencies. By adding the XBD module, the system gains an additional 3 dB of headroom, allowing for effortless performance at higher volume levels and better control over room acoustics, particularly in studios with challenging modal characteristics.
Both the main monitor and the XBD cabinet utilize next-generation bass drivers with triple-wound voice coils and 36mm excursion, operating within ATL™ (Advanced Transmission Line) enclosures featuring LaminairX™ vents. This ensures fast, precise, and turbulence-free bass. The system employs a hybrid power drive: the main unit is driven by the master36 controller (800W HF + 800W MF + 1000W LF), while the XBD module is powered by the dedicated power20 amplifier (2000W). The entire setup is digitally integrated and managed via the SoundAlign2™ interface, enabling perfect time and phase alignment between both sections.
