Pittsburgh Modular Taiga Keyboard is a semi-modular analog synthesizer with a 37-key Fatar keyboard, 3 analog oscillators, Pittsburgh's signature filter, 60 patch points, and a free slot for Eurorack modules.
The Taiga Keyboard is a fully modular modern analog synthesizer that pushes beyond traditional analog synthesis. Its unique sound is based on 3 innovative developments by Pittsburgh Modular.
The oscillator bank consists of 3 analog oscillators with waveforms that go beyond basic geometric shapes. The signal passes through 3 cascading wave shapers for precise symmetry and harmonic content manipulation, as well as a six-stage wave folder for additional complexity and depth.
Pittsburgh's signature filter, defining the company's sound since its inception, provides warm, smooth, seamless sweeping across the entire range with bold resonance without cutting low frequencies.
The Pittsburgh Dynamics Controller simultaneously controls amplitude and harmonic content, making the sound more organic and natural compared to traditional VCAs. In low-frequency gate mode, the timbre warms as the volume decreases, mimicking the behavior of sound waves.
The Taiga Keyboard features 37 Fatar keys with aftertouch, pitch/modulation wheels, and the ability to install additional modules in a 24HP slot.
The modular architecture with 60 patch points allows for using a predefined signal path or reconfiguring it as desired. The set also includes an analog reverb unit Echos, two four-stage envelope generators, mixers, noise, arpeggiator, random modulation generators, and much more.
With its powerful functionality, flexible modularity, and distinctive analog sound, the Taiga opens up wide possibilities for creating both traditional and new experimental sonic landscapes.
