Peluso SR 14 houses two complete R 14 ribbon elements in a single body, forming a ready-made stereo microphone for Blumlein and Mid-Side techniques without pairing and positioning two separate stands.

Blumlein Without Two Stands and a Ruler

The upper ribbon element rotates up to 90 degrees relative to the lower one, letting you switch instantly between a classic Blumlein array and a Mid-Side setup — both ribbons share the same axis, eliminating the phase errors typical of manually positioning two separate microphones.

Two Independent Transformers in One Body

Two separate, hand-wound output transformers housed in isolated steel compartments inside the body deliver a clean, balanced signal on both channels simultaneously, routed through a single 7-pin cable to two XLR connectors.

Two isolated steel transformer compartments prevent crosstalk between channels — important for stereo techniques, where channel separation directly affects stereo width.
