Overstayer MAS

Overstayer M.A.S. (Model 8101) is a two-channel analog harmonic processor in a 1U format that increases the perceived loudness of a signal by rounding and bending peaks — without the timing artifacts typical of compression.

Louder Without Squashing Transients

Instead of reducing dynamics like a classic compressor, the M.A.S. gently caps the peaks of the waveform while preserving the natural attack of an instrument — a different way of thinking about loudness, useful anywhere compression flattens drums or bass.

Ready-Made EQ Presets Instead of Fiddly Tuning

Switchable high and low frequency EQ presets combined with an emphasis-equipped high-pass filter let you quickly shape the tone before the peak-rounding stage, and a front-panel high-impedance input lets you plug bass, synths, or drum machines straight into the unit.

Model 8101 works well not just on drums but also on bass lines or drum machines connected directly through the hi-Z input — anywhere loudness matters without losing the natural attack.
