Overstayer 8755DM is a stereo modular channel processor that packs an entire signal chain into a single 1U unit: preamp, filters, EQ, VCA compressor, and three independent saturation stages with a mixing matrix.

Filters That Behave Like a Synth, Not a Console

Switchable high-pass and low-pass filters with frequency and resonance controls can self-oscillate at high settings — a synthesizer-style approach rather than a classic console EQ, giving a completely different way to shape the band before compression and saturation.

Three Flavors of Distortion Under One Drive Knob

Cascadable MAS (Multi Analogue Stages), Sat (derived from the NT-02A Saturator), and Hex (CMOS hex-inverter based) stages can be combined freely, and a three-channel mixing matrix (dry/compressor/saturation) with independent sends gives full control over the balance of grit and clarity in the output.

The preamp section is loosely inspired by the Helios Type 69 mic preamp circuit, which explains its direct, slightly aggressive character compared to smoother European solid-state designs.
