Oberheim TEO-5
The Oberheim TEO-5 is a compact 5-voice polyphonic synthesizer that blends classic analog warmth with modern versatility. It features onboard analog VCOs and VCFs, with the two VCOs offering selectable waveforms (SAW, SQUARE/PULSE, TRIANGLE, and NOISE) with hard sync and X-Mod capabilities, as well as an extended unison mode allowing you to combine from one to five voices. Additional features include a dedicated FM section, polyphonic portamento controls, and a Vintage knob to adjust the vintage characteristics of the synth. The synth also includes the Oberheim SEM filter, a suite of LFOs and digital effects processors, including classic chorus, delay, reverb, and accurate emulations of Oberheim’s Ring Mod and Phasor effects. It has a modulation matrix with 19 slots, 19 sources, and 64 destinations; a 64-step polyphonic sequencer; a multi-mode arpeggiator; and a velocity and pressure sensitive Fatar keyboard spanning three and a half octaves.
Oberheim TEO-5 Features
- Oberheim's legacy tone. The new device combines all the secrets of OB-X, Four Voice and TVS. This legendary spirit is now embodied in an innovative instrument.
- True Original Oscillators. Here you will find impressive analog VCOs. There are only 5 of them, and they will inspire you with their warm timbre, pure triangle power, sawtooth and pulsating waves, FM range, with a character that you have never heard in Oberheim instruments.
- Branded SEM filter. The legendary SEM variable state filter allows you to switch from a 2-pole low-pass filter to a high-pass filter via a phaser-like cutout and even provides a switchable passband mode. Feel the special resonance that can be heard in countless hits over the past five decades. With Oberheim's signature tone shaping tool, a huge variety of tones can be created.
- Matrix. In addition to providing classic modulation sources such as OB-8 envelopes, the TEO-5 offers tempo-locked poly and mono LFOs, as well as a full range of performance controls. Thanks to the flexible modulation matrix design in TEO-5, virtually any route is possible, including sources and destinations at the speed of sound. You'll definitely be inspired by 19 routes, 19 sources and 64 destinations!
- Powerful Effects. The synthesizer has a powerful impact section. Play with dual digital effects including chorus, delay and reverb. It also features emulation of Thom's legendary phase shift and ring modulator to create swirling textures and metallic resonances straight out of the synthesis era.
- Arpeggiator and sequencer. TEO-5 is a sound stage. Its 64-step polyphonic sequencer opens up endless melodic possibilities, while its multi-mode arpeggiator keeps your rhythms pulsating and crashing. Or play live with a premium Fatar keyboard, every note filled with responsive joy.
