Novation FLkey 2 49 is a four-octave, semi-weighted MIDI keyboard controller — the second generation of the only controller built exclusively for FL Studio, developed in official collaboration with Image-Line. Compared to the FLkey 2 37, the 49 adds nine precision faders with dedicated fader buttons, a semi-weighted keybed, and keyboard split and layer functionality, making it a complete control center for both beat producers and composers who need a more expressive keyboard feel.
Faders, encoders and full mixer control without touching the mouse
Nine faders with dedicated buttons auto-map to FL Studio's Mixer channel levels — each fader is a separate channel under your fingers, no clicking required. Eight rotary encoders simultaneously cover the active plugin's key parameters: FM operators in Sytrus, the Image module in Harmor, filters and effects in the Mixer. The OLED display feeds back the name and value of whichever parameter is currently being adjusted, in real time. Dedicated transport buttons, Undo/Redo, Score Log, Pattern/Song toggle, and a metronome button keep the session moving without breaking hand position on the hardware.Semi-weighted keys, polyphonic aftertouch and built-in creative tools
Four octaves of full-size, semi-weighted keys provide a noticeably different feel compared to synth-action — the increased resistance suits chord playing and melodic lines with dynamics closer to a piano response. Pitch bend and modulation wheels add expressive control on stage and in the studio. Sixteen RGB pads with polyphonic aftertouch handle finger drumming across FPC, SliceX, and Fruity Slicer, while Sequencer mode maps the pads directly to FL Studio's Step Sequencer in the Channel Rack. Scale mode removes out-of-key notes, Fixed Chord triggers full voicings from a single key, and Chord Maps fires complete progressions from the pads. Keyboard Split and Layer modes divide the keybed into two independent zones or stack two sounds for simultaneous playback.KEY FEATURES
