Nektar Impact LX Mini

Nektar Impact LX Mini is a compact controller with 25 mini keys, eight pads and eight knobs. What separates it from cheaper mini keyboards is exactly what usually goes missing at this level: full DAW integration and two independent arpeggiators.

Two arpeggiators: one for keys, one for pads

The keyboard arpeggiator drives a melodic part while the second one, running on the pads, generates a drum pattern at the same time. In practice one hand holds a chord and the other triggers hi-hats in a different subdivision — with no sequencer and no note entry in an editor.

Pads that respond to how you actually play

The eight pads are highly sensitive and assignments store in four pad maps, giving 32 note assignments in total. The keybed itself offers four velocity curves and three fixed values — if you play hard or very lightly, you match the response to yourself instead of fighting a factory setting.
