Millennia LOCi Analog Legacy Universal Playback System is a reference phonograph preamplifier for archival transfer and mastering. It combines a discrete J-FET RIAA stage with a full set of playback equalization curves for legacy formats, and it is used by archives and libraries around the world.
Playback curves for old formats
The RIAA standard is included, and the low-frequency turnover is user-selectable at 200, 250, 300, 400, 500 (RIAA) or 700 Hz. High-frequency compensation is adjustable from -5.0 to -16.0 dB at 10 kHz. That covers the different 78 rpm, 45, 33 and vertical-groove pressings that a standard RIAA phono stage does not match.
Tools for damaged sources
Bypassable filters and an eight-band corrective equalizer with ±10 dB boost and cut let you repair and tailor worn or damaged records. Cartridge loading is set to 47.5 kOhm and 270 pF at the factory, with other values user-selectable, so different cartridges and styli can be matched.
