Millennia HV-3D-4 is the four-channel version of the HV-3C microphone preamp, using the same transformerless matched discrete HV-3 circuit with a fully balanced audio path. It is designed for recordings where four microphones need identical, uncolored gain, such as drum overheads, string quartets or a Decca-style room setup.
Four matched channels
Gain runs from 8.5 dB to 60 dB in 36 high-resolution steps of 1.5 dB, matched between channels. Input headroom of +23 dBu and output headroom of +32 dBu keep loud transients clean, and the noise floor is -133 dB EIN at 60 dB gain.
Ready for digital systems
Factory options include DC-coupled inputs for ribbon and dynamic microphones, BK inputs for DPA microphones and digital outputs (Dante, AES or MADI), so the preamp can feed a network or a converter-free recording path.
