Millennia BK

Millennia BK is a factory option that adds a high-voltage B&K (DPA) microphone input to a Millennia preamp channel. It provides a 4-pin XLR connector on the rear panel that supplies 130 V powering, in addition to the standard 3-pin XLR input with phantom power.

Power DPA microphones directly from the preamp

Some classic DPA and Bruel & Kjaer microphones, including the DPA 4003, 4004, 4012 and 4016, need a 130 V supply that a standard 48 V phantom circuit cannot provide. With the BK option you can connect them to the preamp directly, without an external power module in the chain.

Which preamps and how to order

The option is available on Millennia B, C and D preamps, such as the HV-3C and the HV-3D series. It is priced per input, so a two-channel unit that needs the option on both channels needs two. Because it is installed at the factory, specify it when you order the preamp.
