The ThumpSub GO is Mackie's first battery-powered portable subwoofer – built for scenarios where mains power is unavailable or impractical: outdoor DJ sets, garden weddings, pop-up events and fully mobile PA rigs. The twin 8" drivers sit in a slim enclosure with an ergonomic carry handle, making the unit easy to transport like a briefcase. It runs equally well vertically or horizontally – the low-profile form factor lets it slide under tables, stages or DJ stands, keeping it out of sightlines and foot traffic.
Hot-swappable batteries and uninterrupted operation
Two independent battery compartments accept GB-200 lithium-ion packs (8880 mAh, 11.1 V each). One battery delivers up to 6 hours of operation; two together reach up to 12 hours of continuous bass. The critical feature here is true hot-swap: when one battery depletes, a freshly charged pack slides in without powering the unit down – the music keeps playing without interruption. Charge time per battery is approximately 3 hours. One GB-200 is included; a second is sold separately. AC operation via an IEC cable (100–240 V~, 50–60 Hz) is also supported.
PA system integration and Bluetooth
Two combo XLR/TRS inputs (600 Ω balanced) accept signal from a mixer or active speaker. Two balanced XLR outputs pass the signal to connected full-range satellite speakers. High Pass mode activates a high-pass filter on the outputs, preventing the satellite speakers from reproducing frequencies below the crossover point – reducing compression and distortion in smaller drivers while allowing the sub to handle low frequencies optimally. Bluetooth 5.4 enables wireless streaming directly to the ThumpSub GO, with the signal then passed through to any connected speakers – even those without built-in Bluetooth. A phase switch (Normal/Invert) and Stereo/Mono output mode round out the configuration options.
