Touring bass and guitar players know this problem well: the same cabinet sounds different on every stage, because the wooden platform vibrates along with the enclosure and boosts certain frequencies at the expense of others. The result can be dead notes that suddenly disappear in the mix, or notes that ring out excessively when the stage's resonance lines up with a specific frequency. Stage 1 cuts off that coupling mechanism at the source, regardless of which stage the gear ends up on that night.
Consistent tone regardless of the stage
The isolators are built from high-density fiberboard with a layer of IsoAcoustics' patented isolation material, which absorbs and dissipates vibration energy instead of letting it feed back into the speaker cone. That keeps a 4x12 cabinet or a bass combo sounding consistent whether it's sitting on a club's concrete floor or a wooden platform rented for a festival – the player isn't retraining their ear to a different stage every night.Permanent install or a portable platform
The isolators can be screwed directly into the bottom of the cabinet where the existing feet used to be, using the 16 included wood screws – a good fit for gear that stays put in a studio or rehearsal space. For touring use, the Stage 1 Board is available separately, letting the same four isolators form a portable platform you can slide under any gear on a given stage without permanently modifying the amp or cabinet.KEY FEATURES
