Heritage Audio i73 PRO 2
Heritage Audio i73 Pro 2 is a two-channel audio interface with a USB-C connection, designed for guitarists. It features Hi-Z input, Class A preamps, a DSP processor with effects, and Heritage Audio MIXER software.
i73 Pro 2 is inspired by the legendary British console module Heritage Audio 73. It utilizes transformer-balanced Class A circuitry to achieve a vintage sound. Engineers designed the device in collaboration with musicians and producers for a modern interface suitable for DAW-based studios.
The i73 Pro 2 allows users to approach microphone selection artistically rather than just looking at technical specifications. It provides 70 dB of gain for working with any microphone, and you can even use passive ribbon microphones with low output. The front panel includes a dedicated JFET hi-Z DI input for connecting acoustic guitars with piezo pickups, electric guitars, and basses. On the back, you can connect any line sources through 1/4-inch jacks on the combined XLR inputs. There are also TRS outputs for connecting studio monitors and headphones.
The i73 Pro 2 features a built-in DSP-powered virtual mixer that operates with ultra-low latency, allowing flexible monitoring through studio monitors or headphones with the option to adjust individual mixes. You can process your tracks in real time using a set of effects based on the Heritage Audio equipment collection. Additionally, you can record both wet and dry streams simultaneously from the mixer to your DAW and connect third-party plugins via AUX channels.
The audio interface comes packaged with unique plugins that emulate rare, legendary studio equipment. These plugins cover a wide range of sound characteristics, from preamp emulations to delays, reverbs, and more. Furthermore, some of the plugins come with additional DSP versions that operate within the i73 interface, freeing up processing resources on your computer.
