Groove Synthesis 3rd Wave 8M Desktop Module– 8-voice, two-part wavetable module with 3 oscillators per voice, 24 dB/oct analog filter 2140 + 12 dB/oct state-variable filter, 7-inch display, and 4 balanced outputs.

3rd Wave 8M transfers the full 3rd Wave sound engine to a compact desktop format: the same analog filters, the same synthesis architecture, and full preset compatibility with 24-voice models. Two independent Parts allow you to layer or split sounds, and a larger screen with six encoders makes quick programming easier.

Each of the three oscillators per voice can operate as a wavetable (heritage of PPG and high-resolution tables), analog-modeled wave, linear FM, or sampler (multi-sample). The filtering path combines an analog low-pass 2140 with adjustable saturation and a state variable filter (LP/HP/Notch with BP mode) in series, providing extensive timbre shaping possibilities.
