Genelec 8330A RAW is an active 2-way SAM studio monitor with a 130 mm woofer and a 19 mm tweeter. Two 50 W Class D amplifiers give up to 104 dB SPL, and the response reaches down to 45 Hz. More bass and headroom than the 8320A
The 8330A is the bigger sibling of the 8320A: according to Genelec it offers a little more SPL and low-end extension. The DCW waveguide and the recycled aluminium enclosure with a rear port keep the response even off axis, so mix decisions hold when you are not sitting in the exact center. The response runs from 45 Hz to 23 kHz (-6 dB), and the height with the Iso-Pod stand is 299 mm.
Calibration and digital inputs
The monitor is part of the SAM system and is calibrated in the GLM software (AutoCal 2) over a network on RJ45 sockets. Besides the analog XLR input it has an AES/EBU input and output on XLR, so you can feed it digitally and pass the signal on. Calibration needs the GLM software and either a GLM Calibration Kit device or a 9320A controller, sold separately. Genelec offers mounting accessories for this monitor, among them the 8000-406 short table stand and TRIOL floor stands (sold separately), so you can place it on a desk or on a stand.
