Focusrite ISA ADN2 — an optional two-channel A-D card for the ISA One preamp and DI, bringing the classic Lundahl transformer signal path onto Dante, plus AES3, ADAT and S/PDIF.
The card fits into ISA One's expansion slot and operates up to 24-bit/192 kHz, outputting four formats at once: two RJ45 Dante ports (primary/secondary), an XLR connector for AES3, a TOSLINK port for ADAT, and an RCA jack for S/PDIF. BNC Word Clock syncs the card to an external clock or the Dante network, and configuration and metering happen remotely — RedNet Control for settings, Dante Controller for routing.
Bringing ISA One onto Dante without losing the analogue path
ADN2 can be fitted at any point during ISA One's working life — no engineering experience needed, following the instructions included with the card — so the decision to invest in a Dante network doesn't have to happen at the moment of buying the preamp. Once installed, the ISA One preamp and DI become visible on the network alongside RedNet and Red interfaces, so the character of the Lundahl LL1538 transformer reaches any workstation connected to the same infrastructure, with no external converter sitting between the unit and the network.
Four output formats on one card
Dante, AES3, ADAT and S/PDIF all leave the card at the same time, so the same ISA One handles a Dante-based session in the morning and a direct AES3 connection to an older console in the afternoon, with no card swap or extra format converter. Redundant primary/secondary Dante ports protect against signal interruption where stability matters, and Word Clock I/O lets the card's timing match the rest of the studio system without manually retuning every device separately.
