The unit works as a central format hub where analog, ADAT, and networked equipment are freely routed without quality loss.
One Converter for Four Formats at Once
The usual headache when bridging gear from different eras is keeping a separate converter for each standard — analog, ADAT, MADI, and network. Pulse16 DX solves this with an internal routing matrix where 16x16 analog channels, 4x4 ADAT ports, a MADI module, and 64x64 Dante channels (Brooklyn II card) are all available simultaneously and can be freely routed to each other in groups of 8 channels. That means a single 1U unit replaces several dedicated format converters in the rack.
Compatibility With Most Existing MADI Gear
When expanding a MADI network, the priority is that the new converter works smoothly with equipment already in place. The Multimode SFP module is the standard used by the vast majority of MADI devices on the market, so Pulse16 DX connects to existing consoles and converters without extra adapters. The +24dBu option raises the maximum analog signal level from the default +20dBu to +24dBu, meeting SMPTE standard requirements, adjustable in 1dB steps.
