Expressive E Osmose B-Stock — a 49-key MPE synthesizer built around the proprietary Augmented Keyboard Action keybed, sold as a B-Stock unit that's passed technical inspection with full manufacturer warranty. It pairs three-dimensional gestural control with the EaganMatrix sound engine developed by Haken Audio.
The A.K.A. keybed senses pressure, flex, and movement along three axes independently on every key — sound appears at the lightest touch, and modulation of timbre, pitch, and volume happens continuously rather than in the stepped increments typical of standard aftertouch keyboards. The EaganMatrix engine combines physical modeling, FM, and subtractive synthesis in one module, offering up to 24-voice polyphony and over 500 factory presets.
Articulation precision a standard keyboard can't match
A player on a conventional MIDI keyboard has velocity and, at best, channel aftertouch to work with — Osmose gives independent control over every note played simultaneously: press glide lets you shape glissando time through pressure alone, and strum and vibrato respond to finger movement without programming separate controllers. That's a real difference when playing string or wind lines or vocal simulations, where micro-articulation is what makes the sound convincing.
Driving external gear without losing expressiveness
As an MPE or standard MIDI controller, Osmose sends polyphonic aftertouch and global pitch bend to any hardware synth or plugin — even one without native MPE support. DIN MIDI, USB, and two assignable pedal inputs allow full integration into a rig without a computer in the signal path when setting up on stage.
