Expressive E Osmose 49 CE B-Stock — a 49-key MPE controller built on the same A.K.A. keybed as the Osmose synthesizer, but without an internal sound engine, sold as a B-Stock unit that's passed technical inspection with full manufacturer warranty. The CE (Controller Edition) routes all of the keybed's gestural expression to external plugins and hardware.
The A.K.A. keybed reads pressure, lateral flex, and key release independently on every note, using standard MIDI/MPE messages rather than a closed proprietary protocol — meaning it works with any MPE-capable synth or plugin. Since the CE generates no sound of its own, it ships with Ctrl-e, a multi-engine software instrument with over 900 presets pre-mapped to the keybed's gestures, running as a VST/AU plugin inside a DAW.
Expression without building the mapping from scratch
A producer who already has a deep plugin library doesn't need another synthesis engine — they need a controller that translates micro-articulation into their existing setup. Ctrl-e removes the most tedious part of working with MPE: manual per-note parameter mapping. Presets draw on engines from Synapse Audio, AAS, Kilohearts, GForce, Dawesome, and Vital, ready to play as soon as it's connected.
Three operating modes in one unit
Osmose CE functions as an MPE controller, a standard MIDI controller, and a DAW controller with dedicated transport functions — one physical interface covers both expressive string or vocal-simulation lines and day-to-day session navigation in Ableton Live, Logic, or any other DAW.
