Embodme USB-C Cable 2m is a two-metre USB Type-C cable for powering the Erae 2 and carrying its MIDI data. It supports 65 W charging and is fully USB Power Delivery compatible.
Two metres instead of half a metre from the socket
Cables supplied in the box are usually around a metre — fine for a desk, useless on stage where the adapter sits on the floor by the power strip and the controller is on a stand at waist height. Two metres covers that distance without an extension and without straining the connector in its socket, and a strained USB-C socket is the single most common hardware failure on instruments like this.
Power and MIDI down one cable
The cable carries the full 65 W of power and MIDI data at the same time, so connecting the Erae 2 to a computer or to its adapter does not mean running two separate lines. Full USB Power Delivery compatibility means the cable negotiates voltage and current correctly — cheap cables without proper PD support can cap the supply at 15 W, which shows up as reduced headroom once the LED matrix runs at full brightness.
