Crumar Double Back Modern Delay Pedal is a multi-mode digital delay aimed equally at a guitarist's pedalboard and a modern keyboard rig. It can sound cold and precise like a classic digital delay, but it will just as readily add the warmth and movement of tape or BBD echo without swapping units in the chain.
One pedal instead of three on the board
Building a rig usually runs into the same issue: every delay character wants its own box, one for clean repeats, one for tape, one for dark analogue. Double Back covers those characters and keeps the controls simple. A dual lowpass and highpass filter sets the colour of the repeats from a single knob, while another knob takes modulation from gentle to chaotic. A built-in spring reverb emulation is applied both to the input sound and to the delay tail, adding depth without a separate device.
Modes that do more than repeat
Ducking mode pulls the delay line down while you play and releases the repeats in the gaps, so the part stays legible while the echo remains clearly audible. That solves the familiar problem of a delay smearing the attack of an instrument in a dense arrangement. Sparkle and reverse modes turn the pedal into a creative tool: the first adds octave shimmer to the repeats, the second builds reversed textures. The dry signal runs on a completely analogue path from input to output, so the instrument's tone never enters the digital domain.
