Inside runs the same two-stage EF86/6267 pentode circuit as the CA-286 module, so the character, a denser, more detailed midrange typical of European consoles, stays unchanged. The integrated power supply runs in slow-ramping mode with linear regulation, extending the life of the NOS tubes.

A wider gain range for quiet sources

A 42-60dB gain range gives more headroom than the CA-70S, which matters on quiet ribbon mics or recordings taken from further off the source. CT-110HN input and CT-41 output transformers handle balancing and signal character, and a flexible pad covers both mic and line level.
