The second generation (Gen2) represents a complete reinvention, featuring reengineered drivers, an updated low-latency DSP engine, and refined acoustics within a rigid, sealed MDF cabinet. At the core of the Footprint02 Gen2's low end is Barefoot's patented Dual-Force™ technology, which utilizes dual opposing 6.5-inch aluminum woofers to cancel cabinet vibrations while effortlessly producing controlled bass down to 38 Hz. This is perfectly complemented by a precision-engineered 5-inch aluminum cone midrange driver and a new 1-inch dual-ring radiator tweeter equipped with a rear waveguide chamber for exceptionally wide and precise stereo imaging. The system is fully tri-amplified, featuring dedicated Class D amplification modules delivering a total of 410 watts per speaker for seamless crossover transitions and immense headroom without distortion.

A standout innovation in the Gen2 series is the SPOC™ (SPectrally Optimized Conversion) technology, which applies analog filtering before the digital conversion stage to drastically improve the signal-to-noise ratio and high-frequency transparency. Furthermore, the included MEME™ (Multi-Emphasis Monitor Emulation) technology lets you seamlessly switch between four distinct voicing profiles (Flat, Hi-Fi, Old School, and Cube) via a wired remote.
