Mix with your hands, not the cursor
A cursor moves one parameter at a time, while a real mix means several channels moving together: vocal up, guitar down, reverb tucked in behind. MIDImix gives you a physical fader for each of eight channels plus a master fader, so you set the balance with both hands and by ear instead of by numbers on a screen. The faders also suit recording volume automation in a single pass, with no curves to draw by mouse.
Three knobs and two buttons per channel
Above each fader sit three knobs, 24 in total, that you can assign to pan, sends or plugin parameters. Sixteen buttons, two per channel in two banks, handle mute, solo and record arm, so you silence and audition tracks without reaching for the keyboard. The Send All button pushes the current position of every control to your DAW with one press, so the software knows the state of the controller from the first second. In programs with MIDI Learn you assign the controls yourself, and the unit connects and takes its power over USB.
