Barefoot Sound Footprint01 Gen2 (Pair) are flagship, 3-way studio monitors that represent a complete reinvention of one of Barefoot’s most acclaimed speaker models. Redesigned from the ground up, the second generation (Gen2) introduces a fully tri-amplified architecture powered by an advanced DSP engine. It delivers elite precision, incredible headroom, and unmatched transparency, making it the ultimate right-sized solution for modern production spaces—from traditional stereo mixing rooms to expansive immersive audio (Dolby Atmos) facilities.

At the core of the speaker’s massive low-end response are dual 8-inch aluminum cone woofers arranged in Barefoot’s signature opposing Dual-Force™ configuration. This unique design entirely eliminates cabinet vibrations and resonances, allowing the monitors to produce punchy, tightly controlled bass down to 36 Hz. The midrange is handled by a newly developed 5-inch aluminum driver, which transitions seamlessly into a new 1-inch dual-ring radiator tweeter with a rear waveguide chamber. Each monitor is powered by three dedicated Class D amplifiers delivering a staggering 710 watts of total power (500W LF, 150W MF, and 60W HF), ensuring a huge maximum SPL of 113 dB with practically zero distortion.

The Gen2 platform also features Barefoot’s cutting-edge SPOC™ (SPectrally Optimized Conversion) technology. By applying analog crossover filtering before the digital conversion stage, SPOC™ significantly improves the signal-to-noise ratio and retains extraordinary high-frequency detail. Furthermore, the system includes the renowned MEME™ (Multi-Emphasis Monitor Emulation) technology with a wired remote control. This allows engineers to instantly switch between four distinct voicing profiles (Flat, Hi-Fi, Old School, and Cube), enabling accurate real-world mix translation checks without ever having to leave the sweet spot.
