Warm Audio WA-47jr SE Black

The Warm Audio WA-47jr SE Black is a transformerless large-diaphragm condenser microphone that distills the iconic '47 sonic profile into a highly efficient, streamlined format. Engineered with a strictly fixed cardioid polar pattern, the Streamlined Edition (SE) delivers a fully discrete signal path and immediate tracking readiness. The non-reflective matte black chassis is specifically designed for modern on-camera applications, broadcasting, and low-profile live tracking where visual discretion is critical.

Precision K47-Style Capsule Engineering

Capturing the rich low-end and forward, smooth midrange associated with vintage '47 designs relies heavily on the transducer. The WA-47jr SE employs a meticulously crafted single-backplate iteration of the legendary K47-style capsule featuring a gold-sputtered Mylar diaphragm. This specific acoustic architecture translates complex harmonic structures from lead vocals, acoustic guitars, and intricate stringed instruments with exceptional detail, ensuring your tracks sit comfortably in a busy mix with minimal reliance on corrective equalization.

Massive Headroom and Discrete FET Path

Close-miking high-SPL sources often leads to unwanted distortion or capsule clipping. The discrete, transformerless FET circuitry inside the WA-47jr SE is built to handle an immense sound pressure level of up to 147 dB SPL. This robust capability allows tracking engineers to confidently place the microphone directly against cranked guitar cabinets, brass sections, or heavy drum shells while maintaining crystal-clear transient response and the low self-noise required for intimate voice-over work.
