Warm Audio WA-19N
Elegir opciones
The Warm Audio WA-19N is a dynamic studio microphone that faithfully reconstructs the iconic 1960s transducer famous for shaping the drum sounds of legendary British rock records. It bridges the gap between the rugged reliability of a dynamic moving-coil design and the top-end articulation typically reserved for large-diaphragm condenser microphones.
Condenser-Like Top End with Dynamic SPL Handling
Traditional dynamic microphones often suffer from a sluggish, rolled-off high-frequency response. The WA-19N bypasses this inherent limitation, delivering a uniquely extended top end that excels when tracking drum overheads, snare shells, and acoustic guitars. Its custom-tuned dynamic capsule captures the fast transients of drumsticks and precise pick articulation with surgical accuracy, while comfortably handling extreme sound pressure levels without transient smearing or capsule distortion.
Variable Acoustic High-Pass Filter Ring
The proximity effect during close-miking applications can quickly clutter a tracking session with overwhelming low-frequency build-up. The WA-19N addresses this at the source via its signature variable acoustic high-pass filter ring, providing up to -10 dB of physical attenuation at 50 Hz. This mechanical adjustment allows tracking engineers to thin out muddy acoustic guitars or boomy floor toms before hitting the preamp. Furthermore, an internal humbucking coil actively rejects electromagnetic interference (EMI) in studios packed with transformers and analog outboard gear.
