Spectra 1964 BB-DI 2 Ch is the two-channel version of the Spectra passive direct box, aimed at stereo sources: keyboards, modular rigs and power amps with speaker simulation. Transformers and discrete parts are chosen to keep the full 20 Hz - 20 kHz range intact with minimal coloration.
Stereo from one box, with both channels matched
Pairing two separate DI boxes under a stereo synth usually leaves a small level mismatch and a smeared image. Here both channels live in one enclosure and use the same components, so the centre of the stereo field stays where it belongs and phase behaviour is consistent.
More level headroom than a conventional DI
Signal loss tops out at 15 dB, noticeably less than a typical passive direct box gives away. A switchable 18 dB pad accepts line outputs and hot amplifier feeds, so there is no trade-off between clipping the input and arriving at the preamp too quiet. The 100 kOhm input impedance leaves passive guitar pickups unloaded.
