HLabs Audio AMP4100 is a four-channel 4 × 100 W into 4 Ω power amplifier built on two Hypex UcD stereo modules in a fanless 1U chassis, aimed at multichannel and immersive monitoring.
Four channels in one rack unit instead of two amplifiers
A 5.1 rig or an Atmos bed normally means two or three stereo amplifiers, each 1–2U, each with its own mains cable and its own noise contribution. The AMP4100 covers four channels from a single 1U box — in a studio where the monitoring rack shares space with converters and a patchbay, that is space directly recovered. Speaker wiring lands on one 8-pin Phoenix connector, so there are no four separate pairs of terminals on the back panel.
Protection that saves the drivers
With four channels the exposure scales linearly, and a blown tweeter in an immersive rig stops the whole session. DC-error detection shuts the power supply down automatically before a DC component reaches a driver, and thermal protection acts before the critical temperature is reached. Pop-free start and stop removes the switch-on thumps that get loud across four channels at once.
