During Superbooth 2025, Xaoc Devices unveiled their latest module – Samarkanda. This digital delay is designed with live performance in mind, taking up 42HP of rack space and offering four fully independent delay channels with resampling and looping capabilities. Samarkanda fits perfectly into Xaoc’s philosophy: maximum flexibility with no unnecessary “beautification” – the user decides how to shape the signal using external modules.

Each of the four channels offers a delay range from 0.5 ms to 15 seconds, or up to 60 seconds when stacked. The channels can be synced, chained, clocked, and controlled via 1V/oct signals. Each buffer can be frozen or reversed, and even used as a resonator or for chorus/flanger effects. Users can choose between analog (tape-style) or granular (digital) sweep behaviors. Thanks to an extensive array of patch points, Samarkanda offers total control over delay processing.
