Rupert Neve Designs 551 Inductor EQ – 500 Series 3-band inductor EQ designed by Rupert Neve, inspired by vintage modules like 1064 and 1073. Custom-wound inductors and Class-A gain blocks deliver thick lows, sweet highs, and musical harmonics for tracking/mixing.
Low band: Shelf/peak filter (±15dB at 35/60/100/220Hz). Mid band: Proportional Q peaking (±15dB at 200/350/700Hz/1.5/3/6kHz), MID HI Q narrows bandwidth. High band: Shelf/peak (±15dB at 8/16kHz), HI PEAK for bell mode. Fixed 80Hz HPF (12dB/octave). Low-feedback discrete electronics prevent artifacts.
Single-slot module for 500 racks, transformer I/O, bypassed noise <-102dBV.
